Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and CodeBricks (“we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the CodeBricks platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Service Description
CodeBricks is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) learning platform that helps users master algorithm and data structure patterns through spaced repetition. The Service includes interactive coding exercises, progress tracking, and multi-language support.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you must be at least 16 years old.
- If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
- By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You may only maintain one account per person.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@codebricks.io if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Free and Paid Plans
CodeBricks offers a free tier and paid subscription plans:
- Free Tier: Access to the first 2 levels of content at no charge. The scope and availability of the free tier may change at our discretion with reasonable notice.
- Monthly Plan: $4.99 USD per month
- Annual Plan: $39.99 USD per year
All prices are in United States Dollars (USD). Applicable taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction.
6. Automatic Renewal and Billing
IMPORTANT: YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW.
- Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Your payment method on file will be charged automatically upon renewal.
- We will notify you of any price changes before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account settings via the Stripe customer portal.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refund policy: New subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial subscription purchase by contacting support@codebricks.io. After 7 days, no refunds will be issued. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
- EU/EEA consumers: If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. To exercise this right, contact us at support@codebricks.io. If you have accessed or used the Service during the withdrawal period, you may be charged a proportionate amount for the service received.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or other software to access or interact with the Service
- Share your account credentials with any other person
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service
- Reproduce, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly display CodeBricks content without prior written permission
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or any related systems or networks
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.
9. Intellectual Property
- Our content: All content on the Service, including problem descriptions, solutions, explanations, learning materials, designs, logos, and software, is owned by CodeBricks or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.
- Your content: You retain ownership of any original code you write and submit through the platform. By submitting code, you grant CodeBricks a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your code solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
- Aggregated data: We may use anonymized and aggregated usage data (which cannot be used to identify individual users) to analyze trends, improve the Service, and develop new features.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcomes or employment results from using the Service.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CODEBRICKS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CodeBricks and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
- We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Sections 9 (Intellectual Property), 10 (Disclaimer), 11 (Limitation of Liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 15 (Governing Law) shall survive termination.
14. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page, updating the effective date, and, where practicable, sending a notice to the email address associated with your account at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with the arbitration conducted in the State of Delaware.
EU/EEA consumers:If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms shall deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, or your right to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of habitual residence. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Indian users: If you are a resident of India, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delaware, United States, to the extent permitted by applicable Indian law.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CodeBricks with respect to the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, and agreements, whether oral or written.
